The home of Carole Greenfield
Throughout her very full life, Sybil Van Antwerp, now 73, has valued the practice of written correspondence. Told entirely through her exchange of letters (emails and notes), this prize-winning debut novel, layer by layer, reveals the portrait of a richly complex life and the wisdom that gathers with age.
Both having grown up on farms in Iowa, Pat and Chuck went to college and graduate school, volunteered, traveled and eventually settled in Massachusetts where they worked, led many community organizations and raised their children. Now as retired grandparents, they remain involved and invested in the Groton community.
